Cinco De Mayo
Cinco De Mayo is a holiday celebrating Mexico’s victory over the French at the Battle of Pueblo on May 5, 1862. It’s not really a popular holiday in Mexico, but in the United States, it has become a meaningful way to commemorate Mexican culture and heritage. Celebrate with us on Friday, May 3rd, at 2:15 pm in the 2nd-floor dining room. We will enjoy some Margaritas and chips and salsa.
National Nursing Home Week
National Nursing Home Week begins on Mother’s Day, May 12th. Join our CareRite family as we celebrate with many fun events during the week. This year’s theme is “Be Our Guest.” We want to show appreciation and admiration to our residents, family, and staff. Please look out for detailed flyers for this week’s events, especially the Royal Ball that will be on Thursday, May 16th. Reservations will be required for the Ball.
Memorial Day
Memorial Day is a federal holiday held on the last Monday in May. We mourn and honor our deceased servicemen and women on this day. Initially, this holiday was called Decoration Day. Residents, families, and staff join us for a Pre- Memorial Day BBQ on Friday, May 24th, at noon on the patio.
As we practice proper social distancing protocols in our community, we are proud to feature modified programming to continue providing vibrancy for our residents and employees.
